January 14 Mike Laffan's arrival on web spaces.Ok,
So I've been putting this off for ages, but I've bitten the bullet and decided to set up my space.
I don't really agree with these sort of services on the web. Well, let's be honest apart from our own circle of friends it's never likely to be looked at and as far as sharing things with those friends, it's just as easy to send an email or throw up a quick web page or who knows even call them or better still meet them in person. Personal blogs and my spaces are ok for a bit of freedom of speach, but really they just increase the amount of rubbish on the internet ..... reading this is a prime example of that.
So why did I finally bite the bullet? Simple, travel opportuinities and communications around the world have made it a smaller place and as a result I have good friends in many corners of the would and just maybe this will help us keep in touch (or get back in touch). Ah, but what about email and telephone I hear you say! Good point and maybe I am a tad hypocritcal but this is another form of communication. Blah Blah Blah......
I don't have clue what I am going use this space for, if anything beyond this rambling nonsense .... but you never know.
